The GEOSCIENCES platform offers a wide range of services in geochemistry, mineralogy and geophysics associated with geosciences, but also applicable to fundamental or applied research in fields such as volcanic hazards, geotechnics, air quality, public health, archaeology and biology.
The platform provides access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry instruments (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, HR-MC-ICP-MS, CC-MC-ICP-MS) for analysing major and trace element concentrations and isotopic compositions (Sr, Nd, Pb, Hf Cu Zn, Fe, Mg, Ca, Si, etc.). GEOSCIENCES can also be used for microscopic observations and semi-quantitative compositional analyses using an SEC SNE-4500M Plus – EDS. Finally, the platform has developed strong expertise in geophysics and offers a wide range of seismo-acoustic and optical instruments such as geophones and hydrophones, as well as Distributed Acousting Sensing and Fiber Bragg Grating interrogators.
